Celebrating Earth Hour with Youth!

Earth Hour is a global event that raises awareness about sustainability and climate change by encouraging people to turn off their lights for one hour. As part of this initiative, the Climate Change Secretariat, in partnership with the Department of Environment and the City of Iqaluit, organized a series of activities to highlight the importance of Earth Hour, energy conservation, and climate action.

New Climate Change Resources

The Climate Change Secretariat is excited to announce the release of two new educational resources focused on climate change and sustainable energy awareness and action. These resources were developed with support from Natural Resources Canada’s Wah-ila-toos funding program, which supports renewable energy, energy efficiency, and capacity-building initiatives in Indigenous, rural, and remote communities across Canada.
