What is earth day
April 22 is Earth Day, a global movement to support environmental protection and climate action.
This year’s theme is Our Power, Our Planet, promoting efforts to support sustainable energy and triple the global generation of clean electricity by 2030.
The Climate Change Secretariat would like to invite you to celebrate Earth Day with us!

Celebrate Earth Day by taking a photo outside holding a "Happy Earth Day" sign and show us your love for the planet!
Photos can be entered by:
- Posting on social media and adding the hashtag #EarthDayNU
- or, by emailing them to environmentcontest@gov.nu.ca
