The Climate Change Secretariat is excited to announce the release of two new educational resources focused on climate change and sustainable energy awareness and action.
Luci’s Lesson is a storybook designed for students in grades 1 to 3. It follows the journey of a young girl named Luci as she learns how a changing climate is impacting her family and community. Through engaging storytelling and vibrant illustrations, the book highlights connections between our way of life, climate change, energy choices and how transitioning to more sustainable energy sources can help our communities and the environment.
Kamagittiarlavut (Issue 1) is a magazine created for middle school students. This inaugural issue features a short story, an informative article on climate change, a comic strip, an interview with a dedicated conservation officer, and engaging games and activities. The magazine aims to educate and inspire Nunavut youth to become climate champions in their communities.
